New 3D printing technique could revolutionize manufacturing.

Stratasys and Optomec Inc. have announced that the companies have successfully completed a joint development project to merge 3D printing and printed electronics to create the world’s first fully printed hybrid structure.

The initial demonstration used an aerosol jet system to print a conformal sensor, antenna and circuitry directly onto the wing of a UAV model, using a fused deposition modeling (FDM) process.

“Manufacturers can implement this hybrid technology in a multitude of applications, not just in aerospace,” says Optomec’s Ken Vartanian. “This technology can benefit numerous industries by allowing thinner, lighter, fully functional structures that cost less to manufacture.”

With $297 million in sales in the fourth quarter alone, Red Hat became the first open-source company in history to post over $1 billion in revenue for a single fiscal year on Wednesday. Unlike rival developers like Canonical, which releases its “Ubuntu” Linux distribution for free, Red Hat uses an annual subscription model for distribution of its creations. This isn’t a question of politics but of information — how does the world’s information sources come to reflect a French changing of the guard? For Wikipedia, one of the web’s largest and most up-to-date compendia of facts, the answer is complicated. It’s not just the Wikipedia entry for “France” or “President of France” that requires quick updating, but many, many more pages that reference Sarkozy, and not just in English or French but in the more than 280 languages in which Wikipedia appears. Who will update all those references?

Currently, some 90,000 volunteer Wikipedia editors. Those heroes of the collaborative web do the yeoman’s work that keeps Wikipedia updated. But could there be an easier way? Could all of those changes happen automatically?

Support de l’iPhone 3G (Connexion internet requise)

Une connexion internet est requise sur l’iPhone 3G car l’installation du profil de configuration ne peut pas se faire sans le multitâche, qui est absent de ce modèle.

Cette nouvelle version devrait être disponible pour le 11 mai 2012.
